Workshop draft (at least 2 pages) of the observation assignment.

Wednesday, Feb 22
Notebook work to be completed for today's class:
Begin list of strengths;
Write brief narrative sketches for each strength listed;
Begin interviewing 5-7 people over the weekend: invite them to share with you what they think your dominant qualities/strengths are. Whatever quality they say you possess, work to have them narrate a story that for them exemplifies that quality in you. Write this out in your notebook or have them write it out for you. Aim to have at least three for Monday's class.
If you can, it might be valuable to record each interview (video or audio) and reflect on the experience in your notebook.

Create chronological lists of successes for each consolidated strength and sketch these events. Write out at least 5 sketches. You will write out two success narratives to be workshopped week 8. |

For both "cause" narratives, amplify and bring out the successes that resulted from the emergence of the strength, and reveal the "bite" of the strength.
Begin composing your first draft of the "combination" narrative (recent, success, and cause narratives).

Read: "Cinema of the Mind" by Robert Olen Butler.
Complete your Network of Conversations.
During the workshop, value graph your narrative:
