Course Description (from Course Catalog)
The Writer's Mind increases students' understanding of themselves as writers by learning craft-specific approaches to writing, and by developing critical awareness of their own and others' writing. Working in different genres of writing, students will gain experience in effective revision strategies, in analyzing audience, and in visual aspects of the printed or electronic page.
Class Participation
Success in this course depends entirely on EACH student showing up, on time, having done the work, both inside class and outside class, especially regarding your group responsibilities in preparing and conducting workshops. Consequently, I will assume that you will be prepared for class, on time, and offer productive, frequent, and meaningful discussion and feedback on any texts covered, and especially for our frequent writing workshops.
